1974-76 / CABARET VOLTAIRE

Cabaret Voltaire (Cabs) initially released their albums on Throbbing Gristle’s Industrial Records, and this album was released on that label.
It includes “A Sunday Night in Biota," which was also included on Industrial Records’ classic album compilation, “The Industrial Records Story," and that alone makes this album worthwhile.
The other tracks also have a strong noise flavor of Cabs’ early days, and are well worth listening to.
All of Cabs’ albums are good, but their early ones stand out, and even listening to them now makes you want to appreciate their cutting-edge nature.
They moved between famous labels such as Rough Trade, Virgin, and Mute, and maintained a delicate position that seemed major yet was not.
I think they can be said to be not only the founders of noise, but also of electronic music.
